ABOUT 1500LABS

Founded by two visual artists, Debora Hirsch and Martin Giménez Larralde, 1500labs is a digital art lab that exposes a transformation of luxury and temporal objects into enigmatic or symbolic forms, generating unique NFTs through a process of instant rarefaction.

Hirsch and Larralde met while being editors of the artist-run magazine, E Il Topo. E Il Topo magazine is distributed in book shops and museums in Europe and US including Printed Matter, Inc. in New York, and Palais de Tokyo in Paris. The artists also collaborated in some exhibitions and performances including ‘Mussels’ at the Rob Pruitt’s flea market in Venice and ‘Fateful Space’ in Acts of Sedition at White Box, New York.

In 2022, they created 1500labs to operate on the Web3 and took their first steps into the world of cryptoart. NFTs allowed the artists to expand their research and have a relationship with a broader, different and exciting audience.

Debora Hirsch is a Brazilian-Italian artist born in São Paulo that lives and works in Milano. Some key themes recur throughout her artworks, such as contemporary anthropology, the influence of media and technology on culture and society, defining the multidisciplinary nature of her practice through unnoticed interrelationships and concealed realities.

She had been exhibiting her work in many individual and international group exhibitions. Her work is included in some important public and private collections and her work has been featured on numerous magazines and newspapers. To know more about her work, please visit her website.

Martin Giménez Larralde is an Argentine-American artist born in Buenos Aires that lives and works in New York. Martin Larralde's artifacts consist of monochrome seminal images, exposed and fenced in undetermined devices that merge and redefine the concept of Order. These icons have not yet arrived to a symbolic stage and remain unknown as such.

He had been exhibiting his work worldwide in individual and group shows. His work is included in public and private collections and featured on selected magazines and newspapers. To know more about his work, please visit his website.
